Meryl Bennan, Account Supervisor, Culinary Specialist

Meryl BennanMeryl never really meant to work for Vittles full-time. It was just meant to be. Originally hired to do recipe development for our clients in 1999, we found that Meryl’s experience as a chef, product developer, culinary trend tracker and writer were perfect for our food-obsessed company. Who knew she’d majored in marketing at Cornell University years before?

Over a decade later, she still loves recipe development, but uses her food knowledge, strategic thinking, writing skills, PR professionalism and new media savvy on a more frequent basis. Coupling a gift of gab with CIA trained culinary skills she’s also our go-to gal for cooking videos and live TV appearances.

Some pre-Vittles career highlights include writing the culinary content for the PBS Julia Child: Cooking with Master Chefs series, answering cooking questions as the first “Ask the Chef” on ivillage and encouraging America to try new flavors including (gasp!) roasted garlic and chipotle by developing Weight Watcher’s Main Street Bistro line in the late 90′s.
