Situation: When Bill Niman left his namesake Niman Ranch brand in 2007 he agreed to not use his name in future endeavors. So when he decided to launch a new company, we were challenged to create a brand that leveraged his position as father of natural, humanely raised, sustainable meat, while staying true to his promise.
Approach: We wanted to give an instant ah-ha to anyone who saw the new name BN Ranch. Our logo design included a subtle nod to grass fed beef, while the tagline “Eat like it matters” is a natural expression of all Bill’s work stands for. And, just to be sure that no one missed the name behind this brand, we used Bill’s signature on every label.
Outcome: The packaging, website and sales materials were part of a very successful brand launch and we have other new product packaging in the works.
